Twitter offers 70% revenue share to video creators

YouTube has no time limit on a video, but on Twitter, the clip can’t be any longer than two minutes and twenty seconds. Twitter will then share with them a portion of the revenue it collects on those ads.

Twitter to share ad revenue on videos by USA individual users was posted in Sci-Tech of TheNews International – https://www.thenews.com.pk on August 30, 2016 and was last updated on August 30, 2016. How much will they receive?

Reports suggest that the policy could be more lucrative than YouTube’s, which offers 55 per cent to creators.

According to the company’s blog post, it’s “as simple as “checking a box” prior to tweeting”. Today the word comes down that Video Creators Can Now Cash In On Twitter.

Twitter has also confirmed that a new Media Studio will arrive soon to make it easier for marketers to publish videos and visual content and manage their content marketing campaigns. Niche now works with 35,000 creators worldwide together with advertisers to develop “authentic and resonating” branded content. It’s a startup that the company bought in 2015. Twitter did not release specifics about the revenue split.

Currently, Twitter lags far behind YouTube and Facebook as a video destination. Facebook is paying well more than $50 million in total to 140 media companies and influencers to encourage them to experiment on the program.

This news came while there’s an ongoing concern about the stagnant user growth of Twitter causing its stock to plummet. And there are ongoing concerns about a steady stream of departing executives and complaints about harassment on the service. YouTube boasts that its live video views are up 80% over past year, while live video postings are up 130%.
