Kenny Miller confident Rangers are on right track ahead of derby

The former Swansea and Liverpool manager added: “It’s a huge game, a big game, but one that we want to win, like every game at Celtic Park”.

Celtic, aiming for a sixth straight Scottish Premiership title, have started the season with three straight league wins and lead the table by a point from Rangers, who have played a game more.

“We are disappointed we have maybe not performed as well, but we are still going into it with belief in what we are doing”. We are going into a local derby with 60,000 fans, 52,500 of which will be supporting one side – we recognize that, we are professionals, the same as you guys in the media. And I think the performance showed that, I really felt we deserved to win it. But Miller does not feel they have anything to prove so early in the campaign.

“We are approaching this game like we approach any other game”.

Rangers go into this game with the pressure off away from home and with less experience than their opponents which does make them unsafe but as both sets of players and Managers will know, the Old Firm Derby is like no other match in world football with the pace and atmosphere likely to be second to none. “And if we do that, we will be in a good place”.

“There are two different scenarios and two different ways of looking at it, we are four games into the season, we are gelling in 11 new players who come from vastly different backgrounds and patterns of play.”

DraftKings’ players will be wanting them to deliver also and provide necessary points for their fantasy team this week. “But if we can do that then we are more than confident we can get the right result”. Prediction: Celtic 3-1 Rangers.

RANGERS boss Mark Warburton has swiped away criticism of his side’s stuttering form and insists he will never doubt his players ahead of their biggest test of the season. As for Rangers much will come down to whether or not Warburton can get the balance of the starting line-up sorted as the Ibrox side has not looked like the side from previous year despite improvements in the squad. But I have watched enough derby matches over the years to know that the form book is pointless and that anything can happen.
