Reliance Jio Plans: Everything You Need To Know
Touted to be the country’s largest 4G network, Mukesh Ambani announced the details of the venture at the 42nd annual general meeting of Reliance Industries Limited.

The news sent the share prices of Indian operators tumbling, according to various local news outlets. He also gave good news to the students that they will get 25% more data. “I believe that these are the absolute lowest data rates anywhere in the world”, he said.
There is no doubt that the launch of Reliance Jio is likely to transform the Indian telecom sector with the announcement of free voice calls and affordable data packs.
He said roaming charges will also be nil across India for Jio customers.
All voice calls for Jio will be absolutely free, ” RIL chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani said, adding, “the era of paying for voice calls is ending”.
Ambani’s outfit Reliance Jio is claiming to offer the cheapest 4G LTE data rates in the world when it launches in three days’ time.
“In our view, this is an attractive offering and might entice customers of competing telecom players to switch to Reliance Jio”.
Reliance says it plans to make money by selling additional subscriptions offering on-demand movies, music and live TV, along with a mobile wallet app and extra security features.
Ambani said, ‘Customers should pay for only one service, voice or data not both.
The plans are 4 Tariff plans which are priced at Rs. 50 to Rs. 400. At the end of the trial there will be ten plans for subscribers, ranging from INR19 to INR4999 with free voice calls and between 100MB and 75GB data per month.
“Free voice is key to making Reliance Jio’s integrated plans much more compelling cost-wise than those of peers”, JPMorgan analyst Viju George said in a report.

To counter the misuse and over usage of bandwidth, the company has implemented a daily FUP in their unlimited data usage scheme for Jio user who would be signing up at Jio stores starting coming Monday. Please note that Carrier charges are applicable as per the existing mobile operator.
