That’s the potentially embarrassing (but actually quite cool) lesson learned by a Foo Fighters fan named Anthony, who was overcome with emotion during the band’s Aug. 16 stop at the Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Colorado and found himself singled out by – and eventually sharing the stage with – Grohl for an acoustic performance of “My Hero“.

After Grohl gave Anthony his chair, the singer serenaded him before letting him join on the microphone.
The crowd is seen on video parting to let him on stage.
I love you man, look at you, holy shit. Ultimately, he invited the emotional fan on stage.
“Don’t cry motherf***er, I know you’re drunk, don’t cry”. (Hey, if you’re saying you’ve never had a glean in your eye while drunk, you’re just a liar or made of stone.). “I’m gonna sing this f-ing song right in your face, man-to-man, prison style”, he shouts.
During the song, Anthony apparently continued to cry and Grohl joked that whoever was with him should make sure he wasn’t the one to drive home. “I’m gonna sing this s**t to you right now”, he added.
After demanding that he get “Front row, against the rail, right here!”
It could happen to anyone: You show up to the concert of your favorite band, you get a little tipsy, and then, when they play your favorite song, you may even shed a slight tear. Get back here! No you get here, front row.
But that was only the beginning of every Foo Fighters fan’s dream come true as he also got to sing with Grohl right up close to the mic, for what must have been his most surreal concert-going experience ever.
