Luiz joined French champions PSG on a five-year deal after appearing for Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.
Chelsea confirms David Luiz has re-joined the club from PSG on a three-year deal for a fee believed to be in the region of £30m.
According to several media outlets, Chelsea have completed the (re) signing of PSG defender David Luiz on Wednesday, the last day of the summer transfer window. I can not wait to wear the shirt and play at Stamford Bridge again.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will be looking to fit the Brazilian defender into his starting line-up but where he plays remains to be known.
Having won the FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League in his first spell at Stamford Bridge, Luiz will be hungry for more success.
He said on chelseafc.com: “I’m delighted to return to Chelsea”.
Upon his arrival to Stamford Bridge in 2011, Luiz had an immediate impact, earning Man of the Match honors in his first start and scoring goals against both Manchester clubs in the same month.
“Jack is a fantastic addition to the club”, Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said.
Luiz has helped Paris Saint-Germain to win two Ligue 1 titles during his time in the French capital, but it’s fair to say that he didn’t convince everybody despite keeping fellow Brazilian Marquinhos out of the side.
The Brazilian worldwide has never won the Premier League title despite an impressive medal haul during his career which Chelsea are offering him the chance to do.

Chelsea’s sudden loss of interest in the French U21 global was due to the fact that Antonio Conte wanted a more experienced option at center back, hence the eventual £34 million move.
