In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Thursday, Pence compared Trump’s bold comments to those made by the former president.

But the disclosure by Pence is likely to raise more questions about his running mate, Donald Trump, and whether he will ever make his tax returns public.

Pence’s returns for 2006 to 2015 showed the IN governor and former US congressman paid an effective tax rate that ranged from 10 percent to 16.5 percent. Pence, who served 12 years in Congress, also received $9,370 – apparently from his congressional pension.

The Trump/Pence 2016 campaign noted that the Pence family donates ten percent of their take-home pay to charity, which reflects, on average, 7.42 percent of their adjusted gross income.

Spokesman Marc Lotter says the returns demonstrate Pence has not enriched himself during his years of public service.

Thursday Pence said “for too many in Washington … politics seems to have morphed into a rigged game of self-enrichment and cronyism”.

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who came into office with Pence and launched the press caucus with him in May 2006 with the goal of advancing press freedom, said Russian Federation still had an abysmal record of allowing the killers of journalists to go unpunished. “And he had the courage and the convictions to know what he was for and know what he was prepared to fight against”, Pence added.

Donald Trump continues to applaud Vladimir Putin following his declaration that Putin is a better president than Barack Obama on Wednesday.

There is no rule compelling presidential candidates to release their tax records, nor is there any rule that says records that are being audited can not be released.

Tax specialists have said that if Trump releases his returns, he’d expose them to additional scrutiny – perhaps revealing issues that IRS auditors haven’t discovered. Tim Kaine of Virginia, along with his wife, Anne Holton, have released their returns from 2006 through 2015.

Every major United States presidential nominee since Richard Nixon has released their tax returns before the election, but Trump has repeatedly punted on the issue. And that’s going to change the day that Donald Trump becomes president, ‘ Pence told CNN’s Dana Bash.

“I confirm that and Donald Trump now confirms that”, Giuliani responded.

Pence refused to say whether Trump would consider sending in significant ground troops to the Middle East, saying he would not “signal to the enemy” his plans. When Pence left Congress in early 2013, he and his wife’s net worth, excluding the value of their in home, was less than $300,000, according to calculations based on his federal financial disclosures.
