“We are working for this region to be declared no-fly zone”, Erdogan said at the G20 meeting in China, referring to the land extending from Jarabulus to Azaz in northern Syria seized from IS jihadists.
Finally, Clinton supporter Alexander McCoy shredded Trump for citing Putin’s poll numbers as evidence that he was a great leader.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday that there had been some “alignment” with U.S. counterpart Barack Obama over Syria after talks in China, insisting the two sides could reach a deal soon.
Trump said the progress of U.S. military generals had been stymied, or “reduced to rubble” with Obama as commander-in-chief and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton as his first secretary of state.
“We have had some productive conversations about what a real cessation of hostilities would look like, that would allow us both, the United States and Russian Federation, to focus our attention on common enemies like ISIL and Nusra”, Obama told reporters on Monday at the end of the forum in Hangzhou.
“Russian television shows him very favourably and my friends wrongly think that he supports Russia and that he will improve relations”, she said. Chinese security officials also jostled and shouted at members of Obama’s delegation.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the G20 summit and in more traditional diplomatic language pledged “enhanced cooperation”, according to Xi.
At least, Obama and Putin did not look as unimpressed with each other as they did at the G8 meeting in 2013. Russian Federation and Turkey have had deep tensions over Syria.
The U.S. backs some of the rebel groups against Assad, considering them relative moderates.
Following the informal “pull-aside” meeting, Obama revealed he and Putin talked about how they could reach “a meaningful, serious, verifiable cessation of hostilities in Syria” and about the situation in Ukraine, which Russian Federation invaded in 2014.
Meanwhile, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said on Tuesday there was a possibility of reaching an agreement on a ceasefire in Syria within 24 hours.

He said his talks had been “candid, blunt and businesslike”.
