Stoke City makes record offer for Christian Pulisic
Liverpool have made a surprising £11 million bid for Christian Pulisic, the 17-year-old sensation at Borussia Dortmund.

ESPNFC have reported that Dortmund are staving off the bid thus far, however.
Reports emerged over the weekend that Liverpool had held talks over the 17-year-old’s future, and that an £11m bid would be lodged. Despite the size of the Reds’ offer, which could easily make Pulisic the most expensive youngster signed by Liverpool in it’s history, Klopp is expected to falter in his pursuit of the player.
The size of Klopp’s opening offer signals his intention to get the deal over the line but it appears that he will struggle to do business with his former club.
Stoke City supporters are craving for signings this summer with the club only managing three until now.
The 18-time English champions have already signed seven players in the summer transfer window and that spree started with the £4.7m signing of Germany Under-21 goalkeeper Loris Karius from Bundesliga side Mainz.
Pulisic made his way into the first team and he impressed with his display under Thomas Tuchel.
Klopp promoted Pulisic to train with Dortmund’s first team when he was just 16 and he went on to score two goals in 12 appearances last season.

The USA global has two years left on his current contract on BVB, and Jurgen Klopp is a keen admirer, with the player having joined the club while the current Liverpool boss was still there.
