NBC News chief Andy Lack praises Matt Lauer’s presidential forum performance

Trump stood by his praise of Putin during NBC’s Commander-in-Chief forum earlier this week, suggesting the Russian president is a better leader than President Barack Obama.

“He’s been a leader far more that our president has been a leader”, Trump said of the Russian president.

More than 50 Republican national security experts said Trump will make America less safe.

Hillary Clinton told an audience of donors Friday night that half of Donald Trump’s supporters fall into “the basket of deplorables”, meaning people who are racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic.

He also cited what he said was a March 25, 2003, interview.

Throughout his speech on Friday, Trump co-opted a line from the Clinton campaign, painting his Democratic opponent as an unfit leader.

USA intelligence agencies have said that they have “high confidence” Russian Federation orchestrated the breach into the Democratic National Committee’s emails, which occurred days before the Democratic National Convention.

“And it’s a war that, when we got out, we got out the wrong way”.

Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton clashed over national security again on Friday, with Trump calling his Democratic rival “trigger-happy” and Clinton arguing his proposals would make the world a more risky place.

He is well aware of his need to court middle-of-the-road voters including independents, as he trails Clinton in most polls ahead of the November 8 election.

“She tried to make up for her disgusting performance last night, it was a frightful performance, so she went on the tarmac and told more lies”, Trump said, blasting a news conference Clinton held on the tarmac of a NY airport. Wednesday night, even one of Trump’s surrogates, former Congressman Mike Rogers, when pressed about Trump’s remarks on Putin, looked at Anderson Cooper with a pained expression and said, “Oh, my, look at the time!“.

Critics of the network, which mostly targets audiences outside of Russian Federation, have described it as a propaganda arm of Putin’s government.

Trump may think he has a “presidential look” but he certainly didn’t act like a USA president during the NBC forum. Or Donald Trump really did think he was picking up “body language” signals from professionals who are trained not to communicate such signals. But saying they have served his country’s interest is weird, given that the sanctions resulting from his aggression have contributed to putting the Russian economy into a tailspin. “Vladimir Putin is violating the sovereignty of neighbouring countries”, Ryan said at his weekly news conference.
