Holy $hit betting stat of the day: Mets starter deGrom on fire

Thanks to second-place Washington’s six-game slide, nevertheless, the Mets have maintained a Four 1/2-game lead within the East. The Orioles’ offense has scored the sixth most runs within the majors this season and has hit 47 extra residence runs than the Mets.

The New York Mets had a tough weekend in Queens. Third base coach Tim Teufel aggressively sent Flores, not the fastest of runners, and it looked like the Orioles would easily throw him out at the plate.

The Orioles had a chance to score in the fifth when J.J. Hardy hit a two-out double and Henry Urrutia followed with a single to left.

Granderson hit his 22nd homer in the fifth just over the outstretched glove of a leaping Adam Jones in center field. He’s made three starts there and in the 24 innings allowed just four earned runs while striking out 20.
