The Brazil worldwide defender has passed his medical in London to return to Stamford Bridge only two years after leaving the club for the French champions.

Chelsea re-signed Brazilian defender David Luiz in a late deadline day move, but it has been revealed that the Blues were initally chasing one of Luiz’s PSG teammates Presnel Kimpembe.

Chelsea have reportedly paid £32 million to secure the services of the 29-year-old centre-back. I can not wait to wear the shirt and play at Stamford Bridge again.

His first spell lasted three years and brought Champions League and Europa League triumphs, as well as an FA Cup win.

Courtois, who is on worldwide duty with Roberto Martinez’s Belgium, believes Luiz can aid Chelsea’s quest of returning to winning trophies.

He first joined the Blues from Benfica for £21.3m in January 2011, and made 143 appearances before leaving to join PSG for a reported £40m in 2014.

He played a huge role in Chelsea’s Champions League triumph in 2012, scoring several key goals, including in the penalty shootout against Barcelona which saw the London club go through to the final.

Antonio Conte’s side made five signings in the transfer window with Michy Batshuayi, N’Golo Kante and Eduardo being the early arrivals at the club. I love this club, so that’s why I am here.

“Of course I want to win the Premier League, but of course I want to win all the other titles again.

It’s a step up in my career”, Alonso said on Chelsea’s website.
