Miyamoto shares more details about Super Mario Run
However, that does not mean that Android users will not be able to experience the Mario fever, as Nintendo has reportedly confirmed that the game will be coming to Android a short while after it arrives on the App Store.

Yesterday Nintendo surprised all of us by revealing the first official Mario game for smartphones: Super Mario Run for iPhone (and iPad).
The game was announced by Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto alongside Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook at last night’s iPhone 7 launch event. Miitomo is more of a social app, whereas Super Mario Run looks to draw inspiration from the popular endless runners that have dominated the mobile gaming scene for several years now. Super Mario Run is expected to land first on iOS later this year.
Details are thin on the ground but Nintendo said: “We do intend to release the game on Android devices at some point in the future”, according to Kotaku. By tapping on the screen, users will make Mario jump over obstacles and stomp on enemies. This lets you compete against your friends’ scores as well as scores from players around the world. “After the launch of Super Mario Run in December, Nintendo plans to deliver its previously announced mobile device titles in the Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem series before the end of March, 2017″.

Within the app, you’ll also find a Battle Mode called Toad Rally. The price is not yet announced. “Super Mario has evolved whenever he has encountered a new platform, and for the first time ever, players will be able to enjoy a full-fledged Super Mario game with just one hand, giving them the freedom to play while riding the subway or my favorite, eating a hamburger”.
