Trump criticises USA policy on Russian TV
Donald Trump said Thursday he hopes Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein stay out of the presidential debates.

“He’s been a leader, far more than our president has been a leader”, Trump said.
According to Suffolk, 41% of North Carolina voters said they have a favorable opinion of Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, while 49% said they have an unfavorable opinion.
Clinton unleashed a torrent of attacks on Trump at the Westchester County Airport during her first official news conference in more than nine months.
The polls in the various states were conducted from August 29 through Wednesday, meaning most if not all of the people surveyed were called before NBC’s Commander in Chief forum with Clinton and Trump Wednesday night, Quinnipiac Assistant Director Peter Brown said. On the other hand, Hillary Clinton is one of the most prepared and qualified presidential candidates we’ve ever had, with global diplomatic experience and the steadiness the country needs in a Commander-in-Chief.
Trump’s lead among white voters ranges from 8 to 30 percentage points, while Clinton takes non-white voters by margins of 42 to 71 percentage points.
Trump said: “Hillary Clinton six months ago said the vets are being treated essentially just fine, there’s no real problem, it’s overexaggerated”.
Clinton said problems at the VA have “not been as widespread as it has been made out to be”, but she’s acknowledged systemic problems and urged reform. “Trump is getting just 25 percent from minority voters, while Clinton gets just 26 percent of white men”, said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
Mr Trump’s praise of Mr Putin, which he repeated during a televised national security forum on Wednesday night, has drawn sharp criticism from Democrats and some Republicans.
In a wide-ranging interview that aired Thursday evening, Trump spoke with journalist Larry King about the presidential race, American intervention in Iraq and the Middle East, and the potential intrusion by Russian hackers into Democratic Party databases. Trump misled viewers about his plan to take the Veterans Administration health care system private as well as his previous support of President Barack Obama’s plan to remove troops from Iraq.
“It’s a war we shouldn’t have been in, number one”, Trump said in the interview. That assertion is contradicted by an interview Trump did with Howard Stern in September 2002 in which he was asked whether he supported the invasion.
Trump responded Thursday during an event in Cleveland.
Mr Trump also flirted with revealing what he had been learning in classified intelligence briefings given to him by U.S. officials because he is the Republican nominee.

“He’s not too much of a factor”, Trump said. “I’m not sure anything surprises us anymore, but I was certainly disappointed that someone running for president of the United States would continue this unseemly identification with and praise of the Russian president, including on Russian television”.
