Bridgewater’s injury occurred so early in the year that it leaves him with 12 months to take that tough mentality and rehab for the 2017 season.

In his first two seasons with the Vikings, Bridgewater posted a 17-11 record, and led the team to the NFC North division title last season.

The team released a statement on Bridgewater’s injury on Tuesday but mentioned no plans of acquiring another QB this offseason but that is likely because they only have veteran Shaun Hill and young QB Joel Stave on the QB depth chart.

Shortly after suffering the knee injury, an ambulance arrived at Winter Park to presumably take Bridgewater to the hospital, where he will undergo further tests.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s knee injury was like something you’d see “in an automobile accident or when somebody falls off a cliff”, a top orthopedic surgeon told USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday. We have a good team. “I think he’s played great this preseason”.

“It’s a normal reaction to be devastated, ” said CBS analyst and former Vikings quarterback Rich Gannon. “I thought we had a chance to make it far in the playoffs, new stadium, but that kind of flashed before my eyes, and I thought, not this year”, said Matt Sims, Minnesota Vikings fan. Hill is 36 and playing in his 15th season, and he started nine games with the St. Louis Rams in 2014. “Hey, my wife passed away seven years ago, right?” “It was a bad day, and the sun came up the next day”.

Zimmer said he spoke to Bridgewater’s mother several times to keep her updated, had some phone conversations with mentor Bill Parcells and even talked “in spirit” to his father Bill, an ex-coach who died last summer, about how to best handle the situation.

“We’re not going to stick our heads in the sand, we’re not going to tuck our [tail between] our legs”, Zimmer said. Many of us are also Vikings fans and the news that Teddy Bridgewater’s knee was almost destroyed was about the worst thing imaginable for the 2016 Vikings. Recognizing the potential severity of the injury, Bridgewater’s teammates expressed a variety of emotions. “We’re going to go out and fight like we always do”.

This is, without question, the most freaky injury of the preseason and nearly undoubtedly the most impactful. “My family and I are praying for you!” “It let me know anything is possible”. He got emotional talking about him.

“There are some college football players who have comeback from a knee dislocation and had a great career”, Greene said, citing the injury that former Miami Hurricane running back Willis McGahee suffered and then went on to rush for almost 8,500 yards in an 11 year NFL career.

Although the recovery time will be significant we expect Teddy to make a full recovery. Minnesota Vikings
