Apple’s ‘wireless’ iPhone 7 future still has a lot of wires

Apple, breaking with tradition, said it won’t provide opening weekend sales numbers for new iPhone launches. So does that mean that eventually the dual camera setup will be available on both iPhones?

Just like iPhone 6 series that came out with 6 Plus models, the iPhone 7 will also have an iPhone 7 Plus. That’s a huge delay considering the actual iPhone 7 release date is September 16.

Apple announced two new phones, the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and the 5.5inch iPhone 7 Plus. And, if you’re the type of person that has to be up-to-date and carry the latest and greatest phone out there, you know just how much money you can spend on this everyday necessity. It’s not quite Lightning-gate all over again, though, because you aren’t forced to go and buy new accessories in response.

The Apple iPhone 7 is priced in India at R60,000 onwards.

Removing the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack from the iPhone 7 has been widely regarded as a bad idea, but Apple appears dead-set on compounding its error by making adapters for the iPhone expensive and annoying to deal with.

And no, this is not only speculation from random reporters’ first hands-ons, this comes straight from Apple’s official iPhone 7 site. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are serious upgrades and quite frankly the black colors look super nice.

Using headphones on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is going to be completely different. In addition to ditching the headphone jack this week, it unveiled an optional set of wireless “AirPod” headphones with an eye-watering £159 price tag and a new, pricier, version of the Apple Watch.

In a country like the USA, where Apple controls the retail in a more organised way, it is simpler for the company to discontinue to introduce products.

It is nearly as if Apple expected this backlash because it worked with accessory maker Belkin to provide a solution to the problem. Some people have asked why we would remove the jack, it’s been with us a really long time – over 100 years.
