Donald Trump says he doesn’t want any third party candidates on the presidential debate stage when he debates Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Now that we finally do know what Aleppo is (thanks Gary), wouldn’t it be nice if it was just a quiet town in Syria again and not the epicenter of the refugee crisis riddled with killings and bombings?

“What would you do, if you were elected, about Aleppo?”. On Thursday during a televised interview, the Libertarian Party candidate, #Gary Johnson, was asked about Aleppo and he shot back the question, ” And what is Aleppo?”.

NY1 Political Anchor Errol Louis got an exclusive interview with Johnson on Friday.

Gary Johnson’s response was so spot-on, yet no one is talking about the stark contrast between Johnson’s non-violent approach to the Middle East and the heavy-handed, war-mongers that the Republicans and Democrats have nominated for their presidential candidates. He added, “I don’t think it does a great deal”.

“I’m incredibly frustrated with myself”, he said.

The President of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan called Johnson an “isolationist” in an interview with Hugh Hewitt. Do I understand its significance? Yes.

When pressed whether Johnson felt it should be considered a “big flap”, the former New Mexico governor replied: “Well sure, it should”.

This morning, I began my day by setting aside any doubt that I’m human.

The candidate’s campaign released an official statement Thursday in which it said Gary Johnson “went blank”. Yes, I understand the dynamics of the Syrian conflict – I talk about them every day. “And I understand the crisis that is going on, but when we involve ourselves militarily, when we involve ourselves in these humanitarian issues we end up with a situation that in most cases is not better and in many cases ends up being worse”, Johnson said. “I blow it all on this whole, ‘What is Aleppo, ‘ and I’m sorry for that”. When reminded by MSNBC on Thursday, Mr. Johnson said he’d work with Russian Federation to find a diplomatic solution to the civil war and that the conflict was an example of the dangers of meddling in the region.
