Democrats delaying ad spending in Florida Senate race
Marco Rubio not showing up to work and Democratic U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy embellishing his resume.

Internal polling done by Civis Analytics shows the race between Murphy and Sen.
“Democrats hoped they could use Sen. Rubio’s actions are putting women and families in Florida, ground zero for this outbreak, at much greater risk”, said Sasha Bruce, senior vice president for campaigns and strategy at NARAL, in a statement.
The poll of 601 likely Florida voters was taken from August 31 to September 7 and has a margin of error of 4 4 percentage points.
Clark noted that in Clinton’s last two appearances in Florida – Tuesday at the University of South Florida campus in Tampa and a month ago at St. Petersburg’s Coliseum – Murphy’s name was missing from a list of public officials who the former secretary of state gave a shout-out to. He’s worked with Rubio on several issues during their time in the senate. Murphy leads 45 percent to 44 percent, with 9 percent undecided. Like Trump, Rubio runs strongest among men and white voters, generally; Murphy is helped by women voters and minorities – another Clinton strength. Rubio’s campaign counters that Murphy, by voting against the House Republicans’ Zika bill, has done nothing to break the partisan impasse. Senate Democrats blocked that $1.1 billion funding bill in June. The House effort also included provisions dealing with contraception, pesticides and the Confederate flag. Marco Rubio by resurrecting a charge from Rubio’s failed presidential bid: his poor attendance record.
The statement was issued by the Clinton camp two hours after the Miami Herald’s Kristen M. Clark reported on the fact that while almost every other Democrat has come out in support of the Jupiter representative (including Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Harry Reid), Clinton had been curiously quiet regarding the 33-year-old Murphy’s campaign.

And while it doesn’t appear that Clinton herself has stumped with U.S. Senate candidates in competitive states yet, some of her surrogates are doing double-duty by headlining events supporting both Clinton and Democratic candidates in toss-up races. “All four GOP candidates are running ahead of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, some by just a bit, but some substantially”.
