Kanye West responds to criticism over his Yeezy Season 4 show

“One even removed her shoes mid-way down the catwalk, halting the line of models behind her”, reported one publication.

If you have followed the previous Yeezy fashion shows, you know by now that Kanye places the models in a standing formation where they are encouraged not to move until the show is over.

He kicked off his set with “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1”, and also performed “Famous”, “All of the Lights”, “Black Skinhead” and “Touch the Sky”. “I can go by there most often, check in, get the vibe”. I’m not saying what can definitely happen but you might as well just state out loud what you want. I was really nosy when my dad was working on the O.J. trial, and I would look through all his stuff, and I just wish I was in that field. And all you motherfuckers were like, ‘Oh, Carine (is) over!’ She’s a motherfucking icon, though.

Over the past four seasons, we’ve watched West emerge as one of the few designers to include lots of diverse models, then get slammed for his casting call practices.

– Stella Bugbee (@stellabugbee) September 7, 2016This is shameful and frightful and I regret coming. #YeezySeason4, ‘ tweeted Stella Bugbee, an editor of New York Magazine’s The Cut.

‘It’s our life’s mission to create the most transformative experiences, ‘ he’d written, following up with, ‘Each and every one’s time, insight and feelings are invaluable to us. After the mixed reviews he’s received in the past, we can understand why Kanye would want as many friendly faces in the crowd as possible.

Not surprising given the timings didn’t go to plan – Kardashian clan seemed to arrive over an hour late to the fashion show, while Kanye himself didn’t appear until two hours after the planned start time of 3pm. While attending the unconventional show, the mother-of-two posed with her model sisters Kendall and Kylie, who, like her, were outfitted in West’s designs.
