Trump issues stern warning on undocumented immigrants
However, former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani stole the show.

Jacob Monty, another member of the National Hispanic Advisory Council, wasted no time in distancing himself from Trump as he resigned from the group late Wednesday night.
But his government said Mr. Trump understood its concerns at the meeting, making Mr. Pena Nieto’s tense appearance on television the more surprising. Just so so so Donald Trump.Trump fans all around the nation are already clamoring for this hat, although it has yet to go on sale on Trump’s website.
Aguilar said he opposed the policies of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton but he was withdrawing support for Trump. It doesn’t get much better (worse) than this.
Pena did not officially pull his support, but he did say “it is hard to (imagine) how I can continue to associate with the Trump campaign”.
In a post on Facebook, Monty said he offered Trump a plan that would improve border security, remove hardened criminal aliens and give work authority to the millions of honest, hardworking immigrants in the U.S.
Even for Trump – who has made an art of straddling both sides of an issue and playing to the preferences of the audience he’s standing before – the political whiplash was astounding.
If Trump’s visit to Mexico was created to reassure voters that he could be a statesman, his failure to get on the same page as Peno Nieto about whether payment for the wall had been discussed at their meeting showed that he was not ready for prime time. Feeding off the energy of a wholly supportive crowd, he said any person in the country illegally who is arrested for “any crime whatsoever” will be immediately placed into deportation proceedings.
Trump doubled down on his pledge to deport those who committed crimes, although he did not specify whether those crimes included those who received something as minor as a traffic ticket.
The billionaire candidate’s plan includes deporting immigrants with criminal records, cancelling President Barack Obama’s executive orders protecting millions of undocumented migrants, and blocking federal funding to so-called “sanctuary cities” that bar discrimination against the undocumented. “We were hoping for some glimmer of the Donald Trump that we met with a week and half ago, but it never came”. “We thought we were moving in the right direction”, Aguilar added. But the sense of confusion has been magnified by Trump’s own actions, including a show of polling the room on the question during a Fox News town hall last week.
That tension – between pleasing the Republican base and expanding it – has played out in recent weeks within the Trump campaign.
‘As a compassionate conservative, I am disappointed with the immigration speech, ‘ he said.
“Tonight he was not a Republican but a populist, modern-day Father Coughlin who demonized immigrants”, he continued, referring to an anti-Semitic priest who gained prominence as a radio personality in the 1930s.
‘He must want to lose, ‘ Monty added.
Meanwhile, Texas pastor Ramiro Pena, another member of Trump’s National Hispanic Advisory Council, said the group seems to be simply for optics. In fact, more Mexican immigrants and their children went back to Mexico from the US between 2009 and 2014 than came to the USA, according to the Pew Research Center.
The fiery speech confirmed Mr Trump’s hard line on immigration shortly after he insisted to Pena Nieto that a giant wall would be built on the US-Mexico border if he is elected.

Hillary Clinton’s communications director, Jennifer Palmieri, released a statement Wednesday recounting Trump’s inflammatory language toward Mexican immigrants and his promise to deport millions “including children and USA citizens”.
