She discovered her husband, Dr. Daniel “Danny” Lotz unresponsive in the pool at their home, she wrote on Facebook Monday night.

The incident happened around 3:45 p.m.at a home in the 5900 block of Ponderosa Road, said Capt. Stevens with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office. He is now in a hospital ICU receiving excellent care.
“There are no answers yet as to the outcome”, said the statement.

Danny Lotz is diabetic and has bee undergoing dialysis for about six year, according to a family friend, the media report said.

Chopper11 HD was overhead as emergency crews worked on the pool’s patio to revive Lotz before putting him on a stretcher and taking him to a hospital where he was placed in the intensive care unit.
Danny Lotz, 78, was a former college basketball star. For the past 30 years, he’s led a large Bible study group every Friday in Raleigh, where his wife Anne founded AnGeL Ministries.
