Hillary Clinton vows to ‘call out bigotry’ as feud with Trump grows

The remarks in front of the LGBT crowd echoed Mrs. Clinton’s previous dismissals of the people who support the Republican nominee, but this time she put a number on it.

“I don’t know what the exact percentage is, but there’s no doubt Donald Trump is drawing out the worst impulses of his supporters ranging from racism to the outrageous chants of ‘lock her up, ‘” said Jim Manley, a Democratic strategist. “Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic – you name it”.

The White House said it had no comment on Trump’s remarks.

“I certainly don’t think she helped herself”. Independent voters go 43 percent for Trump and 41 percent for Clinton.

The Clinton campaign, for its part, appears to be sticking to its guns, for now.

Some Clinton supporters said there was truth in her remarks. “And she wouldn’t be prosecuted”.

The comment was reminiscent of Mr. Trump’s January description of the loyalty of his supporters. “I also meant what I said last night about empathy, and the very real challenges we face as a country where so many people have been left out and left behind”, the statement said. “It’s like incredible”, he said.

The Clinton camp hasn’t backed off on her comments. “And [Trump] has lifted them up”.

And earlier this week, for the first time this election, the Clinton campaign let press fly on the plane with the nominee and she even talked to them. Clinton said “I regret saying “half” – that was wrong”.

The other basket of Trump’s supporters constituted individuals desperate for change who felt let down by the government and the economy, Clinton added. Previously, she confined her attacks on Trump supporters to those aligned with the nationalistic Alt Right movement and white supremacists.

He then asked, “Secretary Clinton, how can you expect those such as myself who were and are trusted with America’s most sensitive information to have any confidence in your leadership as president when you clearly corrupted our national security?”.

“I won’t stop calling out bigotry and racist rhetoric in this campaign”. Her campaign headed for a casket. She cited a Wednesday article by former USA counterterrorism chief Matt Olsen published in Time contending that ISIS is using its social media and propaganda channels to “advocate for Trump”.

He sought to lock up a commitment from the key evangelical and social conservative voting bloc, four years after millions of them stayed home instead of supporting Republican nominee Mitt Romney. He said of Schlafly, “Phyllis was there for me when it was not at all fashionable”.
