John Hunter Nemechek knocked Cole Custer from the lead to earn the win Sunday in a controversial finish in the NASCAR Truck Series at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. Apparently he got mad at me.

It took NASCAR several minutes to verify Nemechek’s victory.
Custer was furious with the way he was raced and used a leaping tackle to knock Nemechek to the ground as Nemechek waited at the flagstand to be named the victor.
“We didn’t wreck him for the win. I’ve been wanting to win this thing a long time”.
Truex added, “Yeah, it’s huge with the Chase coming to get that confidence up, get another win in the pocket and that’s huge for us”.
Other drivers took to social media to condemn the aggressive pass. Then the caution came out for Aric Almirola, who hit the wall after he was tagged by Clint Bowyer with 18 laps to go.
Scott said he stuck his hand out the window to waive Stewart by, but he thought Stewart might have mistaken it for giving him the finger.
“When you don’t give a guy a chance, what’s the point of racing?” There’s no respect [for Nemechek] in this garage area right now. I think that based on the team we have and the way we’ve been running, I mean, we could honestly be sitting here with seven, eight, nine wins if things had gone a little different here and there.

Truex, among the four finalists in last year’s championship Chase, is locked in again this year and has stamped himself a significant contender for the Sprint Cup crown.
