Soon after the launch of flagship iPhone 7, Apple has been criticized for eliminating the headphone jack. He also mentioned that the future is wireless and if Lightning connector can also be used as an audio output port, it makes no sense to have the 3.5mm port. Eliminating this connection could render these devices unusable, or at least force everyone to carry around an extra adapter.
Apple didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. It should also make you realize how gullible people can become when faced with the prospect of getting an iPhone 7. This is not a big.LITTLE configuration, but rather Apple’s own design. The healthy growth of Mac sales over the last decade suggests that Apple is on to something. We already know that it has ordered less iPhone 7s from its suppliers.
Apple’s latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus bring same form factor, but a redesigned home button. Other new features arriving with the update include a new caller ID extension for spam alerts, split-view support for iPads, Siri-enabled contextual predictions while using QuickType and a new technology called Differential Privacy that Apple said will help “improve QuickType and emoji suggestions, Spotlight deep link suggestions and Lookup Hints in Notes”.
“It’s the best iPhone we have ever created”, enthused Apple chief executive Tim Cook. It means for all those who sit at their desks, charge the phone and plug in their headphones to listen to music, Apple’s latest smartphone isn’t going to cut the mustard -you simply can’t do both.

In the meantime if you don’t mind the wait, you can go ahead and place your pre-orders on Apple’s Online Store, although we’d advise you not to dawdle as we can only imagine that the shipping estimates will continue to slip the longer you wait. The iPhone 7 Plus also adds a second rear camera for 2x optical zoom and bokeh photography. The wireless headphones are powered by an ultra-low power W1 chip designed by Apple. Airpods are wireless headphones that connect to Apple devices through a non-Bluetooth wireless connection.
