Earlier Xavi Hernandez made this comment about Messi and Ronaldo a few days back on the debate of who is the best in the world.

Xavi Hernandez recently gave his opinion on who holds the title of world’s best player now.
Ronaldo, 31, caught wind of those comments, and let’s just say the 2016 UEFA Best Player in Europe was quick to go ahead and dismiss what Xavi had to say, via Goal.com’s Ben Hayward. “Now I have to play”.
‘Those that want to appear on front covers [of newspapers] or promote things speak about me.
“I couldn’t care less about what Xavi says about me, he plays in Qatar or I don’t even know where. He has won it all, but never Ballon d’Or”.
Messi has won five Ballon d’Ors and is widely considered the best player of all-time, but Ronaldo believes he is worthy of that accolade.
‘Only a fool could have played football and not recognise Cristiano is an elite footballer, ‘ the Spaniard had mentioned. “I have won three”.
Ronaldo won the award in 2008, 2013 and 2014, while he also claimed his first global trophy this summer by helping Portugal to win Euro 2016.
Bale is now earning £180,000 a week with Real but will see that increase significantly, while Los Blancos are also looking to tie up new deals for Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
“If I was the president, I would renew my contract for 10 more years”, he concluded. Right now I’m not thinking about anything else in my career, all I want is to retire at Real. “He’s superior to everyone and is the best in the world unless you are Real Madrid”.
