Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton in North Carolina, new poll shows
The poll’s assistant director, Peter A. Brown, said: “The obvious takeaway from these numbers is that Donald Trump has staged a comeback from his post-Democratic convention lows”.

North Carolina, which 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney won four years ago and has been carried by Republicans in eight out of the last 10 presidential elections, appears to be a virtual tossup at this point.

Trump told reporters he does plan to take part in all three presidential debates, joking that only a “hurricane” or “natural disaster” would prevent him from attending.
