Check Out the Nifty New Character Posters for Tom Ford’s ‘Nocturnal Animals’
Tom Ford’s N.Y.F.W. show last night was typical in its excess, glamour, and star wattage.

Not content with making a major fashion statement, Ford is also now promoting his new film “Nocturnal Animals”, first at the Venice Film Festival and then at the Toronto Film Festival.
Not all films that resonate with the Academy are about appealing or sympathetic people – 1972’s Deliverance, from which Nocturnal Animals perhaps borrows a few elements, is an example of one film whose characters weren’t sympathetic, but it still wound up with a best picture Oscar nom.
Based on the novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright, Nocturnal Animals tells the dual story of an art gallery owner (portrayed by Amy Adams) haunted and threatened by the novel of her ex-husband (played by Jake Gyllenhaal). The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, Isla Fisher and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Ford made his directorial debut six years ago with A Single Man, a handsome and often painful film about love and loss, and now he’s back with a very different type of movie.
Focus Features will release Nocturnal Animals on November 18th. The film’s next test will occur when it screens at the Toronto Film Festival.
And from the looks of things, it appears Ford may have a victor.

This time around, the filmmaker is juggling a much bigger ensemble cast – an ensemble cast that takes center stage in today’s fresh batch of character posters. Focus Features then plans to expand the awards season entry into additional theaters on November 23rd, followed by a wide release on December 9th.
