According to Daily Express, the Blues’ Italian manager has told Fabregas he will be allowed to leave at the turn of the year, though probably not to another Premier League club.

The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan, that tried to land him to San Siro earlier this summer.

Fabregas was a crucial member of the 2014-15 Chelsea team that was crowned English champions but his form suffered badly lat season as the side finished tenth.

In Chelsea’s three Premier League matches so far this term, Conte has played Kante, Matic and Oscar as the central midfield trio and Fabregas has been limited to only 12 minutes of action from the bench, per WhoScored.com.

The former Barcelona man is too good a player to merely play a covering role and he would be a guaranteed starter at the likes of Milan and Monaco.

Antonio Conte has asked Blues’ chiefs to sanction a move the France global, though they may have to pay more than the £86 million release clause in the contract he signed in the summer.

Griezmann was the subject of much interest during the transfer window with Chelsea and United known to be in the hunt, but he remained with the La Liga club.
