Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties are joined in the watch by Monroe, Niagara, Erie, Chautauque, Cattaraugus and Allegany.

Note: For minute-to-minute updates on the movement and location of the severe storms check in with the National Weather Service in Cleveland’s website.

The storm stretches from Mount Forest and Waterloo Region right across southwestern Ontario.

Wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and some hail were predicted with these severe storms that moved northeast.

“An isolated tornado is not completely out of the question”, Environment Canada said.

The forecast for tonight calls for showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., then scattered showers.

The day’s high is 26 C and the low is 17 C.
