That was a s good as the fight got for Overeem, who spent the rest of the fight landing a few big shots, but not really troubling Miocic.

“You keep track of things”. You could see that. With the UFC Heavyweight Championship online the line, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Miocic, the current reigning champ. “I just don’t know how and to think it would happen here like this; just blows my mind. Who can blame him? “Nothing has changed with my training except that I’m training harder than I ever have before”. My life has been dedicated for the last 2-1/2 years. In 56 professional MMA bouts, “The Reem” has evolved into one of the most risky heavyweights on the planet. I’m just happy we have something to be proud of. I was doing my appearances, my obligations, but I was training.

Overeem, on his finishing prowess. Miocic said after his 13th career finish. “No one else is getting in there with us, so I’m going to come out the victor and that’s the way it’s going to be”. It will be history. “The after party for some people won’t be so nice”.
