DAVID Luiz is on the verge of a Chelsea return, two years after being sold to Paris St Germain for £50million.

David Luiz looks set to re-join Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain after the two clubs agreed terms.
Luiz was also a major player in Chelsea’s FA Cup triumph that year as well as their Europa League title the following season.
The formalities of the deal were concluded without issue and Chelsea confirmed on their official website shortly after 11pm on Wednesday night that Luiz has re-joined the club on a three-year contract.
French football expert Julien Laurens wonders if Chelsea have made an expensive mistake buying him back for £30million following a two year spell in France.
Luiz will wear the number 30 shirt at Chelsea as the number four he used to feature in now belongs to Cesc Fabregas.
Koulibaly was one of the best defenders in Serie A last season and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was desperate to sign the Senegalese global.
He made 143 appearances, scoring 12 goals, before his record-breaking switch to PSG.
Alonso played for Bolton for three seasons, including alongside Gary Cahill, who is now one of his Chelsea team-mates.
The Spanish left-back is also versatile – he can also play in the middle of the park as a holding midfielder.
Chelsea’s sudden loss of interest in the French U21 global was due to the fact that Antonio Conte wanted a more experienced option at center back, hence the eventual £34 million move.
“I am excited to meet everyone at the club, to see the stadium and of course the fans, who I have heard so many good things about”.

Although he endured criticism for some haphazard defending during his first Chelsea stint, Luiz helped the club win the Champions League for the first time when they defeated Bayern Munich in the 2012 final.
