On Friday, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission urged Note 7 owners to stop using it.

Samsung Electronics is telling consumers to stop using the Galaxy Note 7 smartphones immediately and exchange them as soon as possible.
The Korean company is offering to exchange all affected Galaxy Note 7 phones with a replacement device using a safe battery.
Note 7 units may be hand-carried by passengers as long as the device is switched off at all times until disembarkation from the aircraft, Cebu Pacific said.

The move comes after Samsung announced a voluntary recall of 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 phones worldwide two weeks after the phones are rolled out.
This apparently forced many government-owned aviation agencies, including America’s FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and India’s DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation), to put sanctions on carrying the Samsung phablet in aeroplanes.
Samsung has said that battery problems were behind the phones catching fire, but that it was hard to work out which phones were affected among those sold.
Pakistan International Airlines on Sunday strongly urged its passengers not to carry the newly-launched Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone during flights following recent reports of explosions from faulty batteries.
USA wireless carriers stopped selling the Note 7 earlier this month and began working on how to handle customer returns and questions.

AOT President Nitinai Sirismatthakarn has revealed passengers traveling through AOT operated airports in Thailand, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Don Mueang, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Hat Yai airports, are advised not to place their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones into their checked luggage.
