The Samsung executive adds: “We are expediting replacement devices so that they can be provided through the exchange program as conveniently as possible and in compliance with related regulations”.

There are at least two more cases that Samsung said it is aware of – one at a hotel in Perth, Australia, and another in St. Petersburg, Florida, where a family reported that a Galaxy Note 7 left charging in their Jeep had caught fire, destroying the vehicle.
Some other global airlines – Qantas, Virgin Australiaand Etihad – have also taken similar steps, asking customers not to ‘use or charge Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 during flights. Samsung Pakistan also delayed the launch date of Note 7 in Pakistan and halted the pre-orders. Another 1 million units have been produced and need to be refurbished too.
