Hillary Clinton ‘Overheated’ at 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

Hillary Clinton said Saturday she regretted saying that half of Donald Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorables” – a remark the billionaire Republican slammed as her “worst mistake of the political season”.

A video posted on Twitter shows Hillary Clinton from behind held closely by a member of her staff, before slumping and being helped into a waiting van as she leaves the 9-11 memorial service in NY.

In an interview with The Washington Post Tim Kaine said Clinton shouldn’t have to apologize, and explained that her comments were about the people involved in the “alt-right” movement, which Trump attracts and encourages.

Clinton stumbles as she tries to step forward into the van, and is then helped inside the vehicle.

Her campaign said later the Democratic presidential nominee was “feeling much better”.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a Trump supporter, suggested Clinton was not strong enough to lead when he recently told a Fox News interviewer to do an online search for the words, “Hillary Clinton illness”. “I’m feeling great. Thank you”.

“Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and thirty minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen”.

Schumer said he also spoke with Clinton during the event and saw her leave “on her own accord.”?

A video showed Clinton slumping and being held up by three people as she was helped into a van after the event, and her doctor said in a statement that Clinton had become overheated and dehydrated.

Her campaign team said her departure was due to her temporarily feeling unwell.

Her campaign has not offer additional details, including whether Clinton required medical attention. Her campaign website shows no other official events scheduled for the day.

The statement came amid concerns over Mrs Clinton’s health after U.S. media reported she suffered a “medical episode”.
