It’s still hard for me to wrap my mind around the concept of a woman not knowing she’s pregnant.

“Shocked is an understatement”, said Favela from her hospital bed at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.
Despite receiving the shock of their lives, both Favela and her husband Jeff Parungoa were in high spirits, welcoming their newborn with jokes about their confusion hours earlier.
Jennifer Favela woke up with a stomachache in the middle of the night.
Favela said she did not expect to be expecting. It quickly became apparent her body was experiencing something else entirely when her water broke.
The mother-of-three told KCBS she didn’t have morning sickness her entire pregnancy and recalled having light periods.
The couple also has a girl, 13, and another boy, 7.
There was also weight gain, her husband Parungao said. “Man, you’re gaining weight'”. With dispatchers coaching Jeff through the process, he caught his baby boy shortly after 4 a.m. on Labor Day in the family’s hallway.
But mom and dad didn’t have much time to talk it over.
Their Facebook page exploded with shocked congratulations such as, “Wait!”
Well, one California mom did just this yesterday – and she didn’t even know she was pregnant!
“I said, ‘Hey dude, I just delivered a baby and he’s all, ‘Whose baby?'” Parungoa said. So surprised we don’t even have a name.
“I actually work for an insurance company, so that’s going to be an interesting phone call when I have to call my boss”, Favela added.

The family said they are also scrambling to get all the things they need for a new baby, including a vehicle seat to take him home from the hospital.
