Baseball star Mike Trout escapes injury in highway crash

Eppler said Trout went home from the scene without being treated. A woman driver in that other auto was trapped and had to be extricated by rescue crews. Paramedics cut through the car’s metal to get the woman out of her vehicle and then transported her to a hospital to treat her injuries. Angels general manager Billy Eppler confirmed the crash and says in a statement he’s spoken to Trout and “he feels fine”.

However as special as Mike Trout is to the Los Angeles Angels and their fans, lets not lose sight on the fact that someone was seriously injured in this accident.

The Los Angeles Angels beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-0 Wednesday night, but they avoided a bad loss after the game.

Although the Angels are wandering through a mediocre season, Trout is still having a great season with 25 homers and 84 RBIs.

He and the rest of the team were slated to travel to Seattle Thursday afternoon ahead of a game against the Mariners Friday night. Although the club is nowhere near the American League playoff race, Trout has continued to receive a momentous amount of praise as an American League MVP candidate. The 2014 AL MVP Award victor is batting.319 with 25 homers and 21 stolen bases this season.
