Kejriwal accuses Badals, Amarinder of ‘looting’ Punjab

Issuing a statement from Jhaande village, where National Convener of AAP, Arvind Kejriwal is camping now days, Singh said when he went to Sidhu’s residence, he (Sidhu) forcibly said that he wanted to finish the corrupt regime of Badals in Punjab and he would support AAP in the battle against “Adharma by Dharma”.

Referring to Mr. Kejriwal’s announcement on Friday that Anandpur Sahib would be made a holy city if AAP is voted to power in the state, Amarinder said Kejriwal did not even have the “basic knowledge” that Amritsar and Anandpur Sahab were already officially declared holy cities.

Kejriwal also said the four ministers – Agriculture Minister Tota Singh, Food and Supplies Minister Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon, Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia and Rural Minister Sikander Singh Maluka – will be sent to jail along with Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal if AAP wrested power in 2017. “You will be having a Congress Government with landslide victory”, he asserted, while pointing out the ruling Akali-BJP alliance was just fighting for survival while the AAP had already disintegrated.

He termed his own party as the “cleanest” and said whatever dirt enters AAP it is cleaned with “jhaadu”.

He also questioned the Congress leadership why did it not remove Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler from the party after their names cropped up in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

“It is the Akalis, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in particular, who have repeatedly betrayed Punjab and compromised with its interests by successive betrayals”, he alleged. “His decision of not joining AAP will not make a difference to the party”, a senior party leader said.

To make up the Crop Loss, Kejriwal said compensation of Rs 20,000 per acre for crop loss due to drought, floods, pest attack, unseasonal rain would be given to farmers and in the event of crop failure, Farm Labourers shall be given a compensation of Rs 10,000 for every month of loss of work.

“Sarais (inns) will be set up near the mandis where the farmers will be able to stay”, he said.

AAP government was setting up Mohalla clinics in Delhi and “will implement the same in Punjab as well”, he added.

He pointed out, the People’s Party of Punjab and Shiromani Akali Dal-Longowal had already merged into the Congress and the BSP had made a decision to contest of its own.
