Helicopters, ambulances and fire engines rushed to the scene to attend to the victims, some of whom were believed to be seriously injured.

O Porrino is located south of the Galician city of Vigo, near the border with Portugal.
The incident comes three years after Spain’s worst ever non-terrorism related rail disaster, which saw 79 people die after a high-speed train derailed.
El Pais newspaper has reported a train has derailed near the station of O Porriño, Pontevedra, in north-western Spain.
The Spanish newspaper reports that the first vehicle derailed 200 metres before pulling into the station, slightly damaging two other carriages.
One of the dead is said to be the train’s conductor. According to Renfe the train was carrying 64 passengers. The derailment occurred on a straight stretch close to Porrino station. It left Vigo at 9.02am and had been scheduled to arrive in Porto two hours later.
Spanish train company Refe Nacional Ferroviária de Espanha (Renfe) told Lusa on Friday morning that the train was owned by Portuguese railway company CP, had a Portuguese driver and 63 passengers on board.
Spanish media claim that the train hit a bridge after rounding a curve, but Spain’s state rail manager is launching a more thorough investigation.
