US DEMOCRATIC candidate Hillary Clinton, diagnosed with pneumonia, became overheated and fell ill at a September 11 memorial ceremony in an episode that renewed focus on her health less than two months before USA voters to elect their next president.

Clinton’s rival, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his supporters have questioned the 68-year-old Clinton’s health, saying Clinton is physically unfit for the White House, accusing her of being “exhausted” and sleeping too much. Her doctor attributed that episode to a stomach virus and dehydration. Her family history includes various heart issues, but Clinton’s own cardiac evaluation came back clean.
Critics point to a 2012 concussion Clinton suffered after fainting and striking her head. “She is in excellent physical condition and fit to serve as President of the United States”.
Earlier, CNN posted video showing Clinton posing for a photograph with a small child after leaving her daughter’s apartment. Her total cholesterol was 195; her LDL or “bad” cholesterol was 118, and her HDL or “good” cholesterol was 64 – all within healthy levels and not signaling the need for any medications. Merrill indicated that she returned to her Chappaqua, New York, residence after 1 pm, but did not give an exact time. The doctor said Sunday evening that Clinton is “recovering nicely” after the incident at the 9/11 memorial.
Bardack said that Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. I don’t think they have explained what allergies Clinton suffers from or how the allergies persist during travel on her campaign jet with fresh and recirculated air circulating at 30,000 feet.
Clinton’s speech at a campaign rally earlier this month in Cleveland was interrupted by a coughing spell.
During a keynote address Saturday night at a Human Rights Campaign dinner, Kaine said he is “amazed when Donald Trump makes fun of Hillary Clinton’s stamina and energy because I got added to the ticket 100 days out, and I’m already getting lapped by her”.
Clinton, who had a concussion in 2012, a year ago released a two-page letter from Bardack on her history. When she re-emerged around noon she waved to passersby, and told reporters she was feeling “great”.
In an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on August 22, Clinton got lighthearted about her health, joking around with Kimmel about the rumors. When she challenged Kimmel to take her pulse, he joked there wasn’t one. “There are so many of them”, she said, “I’ve lost track of them”.
“These things tend to be fanned; the flames fanned like insane by those who will use it to make one story take attention away from other stories”, he said. “Just say all these insane things and maybe you’ll get some people to believe you”.

The sudden and unannounced exit from a very high profile event for a health problem illustrated why the news media feels it critical to be close to the major candidates, and perhaps why those candidates want to escape from scrutiny if something might be embarrassing. “I mean as far as I can tell he’s as healthy as a horse”, she said.
