Hillary Clinton is back at her suburban NY home, after having left the 9/11 memorial ceremony in lower Manhattan early because she was feeling “overheated”. The journalists who travel with her campaign were not there to witness her arrival.
The Republican candidate, who was also present during the 9/11 memorial ceremony, is yet to comment on Clinton’s most recent health scare.
Attending the event to commemorate the almost 3,000 lives lost in the September 11, 2001, attacks was so important to both presidential candidates that they both appeared at the New York City ceremony at the same time – a very, very rare move.
Trump seized the opportunity to cast doubt over Clinton’s health again, tweeting, “What’s up?”
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton gets into a van as she leaves an apartment building Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, in NY.
Schumer said he also spoke with Clinton during the event and saw her leave “on her own accord.”? She walked away from the ceremony but was seen to trip and crumple as she climbed into van.
Clinton’s supporters have dismissed questions about her health by pointing to her globe-trotting schedule as secretary of state and lengthy appearance before Congress investigating the 2012 Benghazi attack, in which she sat for 11 hours. Later she emerged from her daughter’s apartment in NY and posed for photos with a young girl. To a shouted question from a reporter as to whether she felt better, she said: “Yes, thank you”. But the high humidity early into the ceremony caused it to feel much hotter in the crowd at times.
Clinton has been in the news before for serious health issues.
Clinton “became overheated and dehydrated” at the ground zero event, her doctor said.
Clinton had a medical examination when she got back to her home in Chappaqua, New York, according to a campaign aide.
“She participates in a healthy lifestyle and has had a full medical evaluation, which reveals no evidence of additional medical issues or cardiovascular disease”.
Poor Hillary Clinton! Just hours after she almost fainted at a 9/11 memorial service, it was revealed that the Democratic presidential candidate was diagnosed with pneumonia.
Just before noon on Sunday, Clinton left her daughter’s apartment and told reporters she was “feeling great” and that “It’s a lovely day in New York”, according to the New York Times. We’re just glad she’s okay!
He added, however, “I just can’t for the life of me think this impacts any American who isn’t already on one side or the other” in the Clinton-Trump race for the White House.

On Saturday, Clinton came under fire from Republicans and on social media for saying Friday night that “half” of Trump’s supporters belonged in a “basket of deplorables”.
