As the Associated Press reported, he pleaded guilty to charges related to putting the employee of a Paramount Pictures subsidiary in a chokehold and body-slamming her during an event at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Emile likes the formal look for his mug shots – as evidenced by the one he took after initially turning himself in to cops.

He was charged with third-degree aggravated assault and intoxication, a misdemeanor.

In a statement read out in court, Bernfield said that she thought she was “going to die” as Hirsch choked her. After the hearing, she stated that the plea bargain did not go far enough to make up for the long term damage she has suffered, according to BBC News. He added: “I don’t how many of you good gentleman have spent 15 days in jail, but 15 minutes is too much for me”.

“Emile consumed an enormous amount of alcohol on the evening in question and he has no memory of what happened”, the actor’s spokesperson said in February.

The prosecutor acknowledged that he’s troubled he does not know what motivated Hirsch in the “shocking” attack.

Hirsch’s lawyer, Robert Hilder, said his client had been sober since the incident and had expressed remorse a number of times.
