PM Modi to hold bilateral talks during ASEAN, East Asia Summits
Stepping up his attack on Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday said there is “one country in our neighbourhood” which “produces and exports” terror as he pressed the worldwide community to isolate and sanction “this” instigator.

Earlier on Thursday, Modi addressed both the India-Asean and the East Asia Summits here.
During his stay in Vientiane, the Prime Minister also held bilateral talks with leaders of Japan, South Korea, Laos, Myanmar and had pull aside meetings with his Chinese and Russian counterparts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for Laos’s capital Vientiane on Wednesday to attend the 14th Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN-India Summit. “We need to target not only the terrorists but also their entire supporting ecosystem”.
Differences between India and China too have sharpened, over Beijing blocking New Delhi’s bid to join the Nuclear Suppliers Group, its refusal to allow United Nations sanctions against Pakistan-based terrorist chiefs, and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He added that India has always held that countries should work together to get to the bottom of terrorism, as it is a problem not only for Pakistan, but for India and the world. Two leaders reviewed bilateral relations which were upgraded to special strategic partnership a year ago during Mr. Modi’s visit to South Korea.
Reports suggest that Modi informed Obama that India would adopt the Paris Agreement on climate change by year-end.
Bambawale, who was attending an interactive session organised by the Karachi Council on Foreign Relations yesterday, was quoted as saying by Dawn News that, “I cant say about the future but as of today, Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi is looking forward to visiting Islamabad for the SAARC summit in November this year”.
The time has come to isolate and sanction this instigator, Modi said.
Modi is scheduled to have a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Wednesday afternoon. “PM meets President Obama”, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted with pictures of the two leaders.
“India is willing to march with ASEAN to fulfil promise and potential of our strategic engagement, ” said the Prime Minister, wearing crisp white churidar, kurta and jacket.
“The two leaders reviewed progress on Indo US collaboration in nuclear energy, solar energy and innovation”.
“As an aside, he added that he and (wife) Michelle were yet to see the Taj Mahal”, the sources said.
