Tannehill was 16 of 29 for 186 yards. “We weren’t sure what he could do”, Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. And in the third quarter, Andrew Franks’ 27-yard field goal attempt was blocked by Cassius Marsh.
Kaepernick, whose team doesn’t play until Monday night, has said that he’ll continue to kneel during the national anthem to protest the oppression of black people in the United States. We also recognize that it’s an individual’s right to reflect during the anthem in different ways.
The Dolphins subsequently released a statement on the controversy: “We encourage all members of our organization to stand at attention during the national anthem out of respect and appreciation for the freedoms we are afforded as Americans”. He did not return.
