Denver Health officials told 9NEWS they have five patients in their care – two are in critical condition, two are in serious condition and one person is in fair condition.

KDVR-TV reported that 17 to 20 students and coaches from the school’s junior varsity team were hospitalized.

Five patients were also taken to University Hospital.

Police have called the driver’s route “curious” amid claims she turned back on herself and circled the airport before the deadly crash.

No names have been released at this time.

Ferdani said counselors will be available both at the high school and the district’s transportation center Monday. Airport spokesman Heath Montgomery said the bus had been approaching the passenger arrivals section on the fourth level of the east terminal at about 4 p.m. when it veered into a support bridge for an upper level.

“The bus driver circled back around to this level”.

By late Sunday, three adult staff members remained in the hospital, and numerous 15 students who were injured had been released to their parents, school district officials said.

Legacy High School is in Broomfield, Colorado, and is part of Adams 12 Five Star Schools. The Post reports that the football team from Legacy played Chino High School on Friday night in California.
