Clinton leaves daughter’s home ‘feeling great’

Hillary Clinton abruptly left the 9/11 memorial in New York City early on Sunday due to overheating, according to her campaign, fueling rumors that the presidential nominee is seriously ill.

She smiled and waved at the news cameras and said “I’m feeling great” as she left her daughter Chelsea’s NY apartment.

“Mrs. Clinton is a healthy 67-year old female whose current medical conditions include hypothyroidiam and seasonal pollen allergies”, wrote Dr. Lisa Bardack, Clinton’s doctor since 2001, in a health statement provided by Clinton’s campaign. The journalists who travel with her campaign were not there to witness her arrival.

The former first lady’s entourage helped her to a van after she fainted during the ceremony at New York’s National September 11 Memorial & Museum, Fox News reported, citing a law enforcement source.

Clinton walked out of daughter Chelsea Clinton’s apartment on her own and made only a brief comment to the reporters waiting outside, saying “It’s a attractive day in NY”.

When Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, attempted to enter the van, she appeared to stumble.

“This comes less than a week after Clinton had a coughing fit at a rally in Cleveland”.

An AFP journalist at the ceremony saw Clinton, dressed in a navy suit, leave the event but noted that she was greeting people as she left and did not appear to be rushing out. The pool accompanying Clinton says she left the ceremony around 9:30 am.

Baltimore Sun media critic David Zurawik told CNN that Fox News’ reporting on the so-called “medical episode” had been irresponsible. Asked by a reporter about Clinton’s health incident, Trump said, “I don’t know anything”. Clinton takes Coumadin, the brand name for the blood thinner warfarin. “I think on the one hand, it is part of the wacky strategy, just say all these insane things and maybe you can get some people to believe you”. “Aides now not responding to any [questions] about her whereabouts”, ABC journalist Liz Kreutz said in a tweet. After leaving her daughter’s, Clinton was driven to her home in Chappaqua, New York, and made no public appearances.

Both Clinton and Trump, 70, have not released extensive medical records.
