Clinton: ‘I’m feeling great’; was ‘overheated’ at 9-11 event

Hillary Clinton abruptly left Sunday’s 9/11 anniversary ceremony in NY after feeling “overheated”, according to her campaign, and retreated to her daughter’s nearby apartment. A little before noon, Clinton left Chelsea’s apartment, smiling and waving at reporters, and saying, “I feel great”. She departed for her daughter’s apartment in NY without the media who travel with her daily.
While she was making her way into a van in her motorcade, Secret Service agents helped her into the van in the motorcade, a senior law enforcement official said.
In a letter released by her doctor in July, Clinton was described as being in “excellent health” and “fit to serve” in the White House.
A Democratic congressman who stood behind Hillary Clinton at a September 11 memorial ceremony says he chatted with the Democratic candidate beforehand and that “she did not seem out of the ordinary at all” although the conditions were “stiflingly hot”.
After leaving her daughter’s, Ms Clinton was driven to her home in Chappaqua, New York, and made no public appearances.
Arthur Caplan of New York University Langone Medical Center says many people might stumble around, for lots of reasons, on a hot and humid summer day.
The billionaire businessman, who also attended Sunday’s memorial, said, “I don’t know anything”, when asked about Clinton. Clinton stumbles as she steps off the curb toward the vehicle, and is helped inside by those around her. Asked by reporters waiting outside if she’s feeling better, Clinton wearing pants and coat, replied, Yes. “The more she pushes, the harder it is for her to recover”, she said. The letter said Clinton at the time took medication to treat hypothyroidism and blood thinners to prevent clots.
Ms Clinton’s doctor reported she is fully recovered from the concussion, which led to temporary double vision and discovery of a blood clot in a vein in the space between her brain and skull. She drank water and took a lozenge at the podium, going on to finish her remarks.
Trump supporters have been tweeting unsubstantiated theories regarding Clinton’s health under the hashtag #HillarysHealth.

The episode comes off the back of calls from Donald Trump for her to release her medical records, while others in the camp, including Trump surrogate Rudy Giuliani, have implied that the Democratic candidate is dealing with a medical issue. Bornstein later told NBC News it took him just five minutes to write it.
