Arsenal loan Jack Wilshere to rival Bournemouth

Jack Wilshere was set for a deadline-day move to Roma – only for Arsenal to end his hopes of a move to Italy.

The England global has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons and played only three times in the Premier League for Arsenal last season after suffering a fracture just prior to the start of the campaign.

The news broke throughout transfer deadline day, and was officially announced in the evening, after it was revealed that Eddie Howe’s men had fended off the likes of Crystal Palace, AS Roma, and AC Milan.

“The two of them are still good friends from Benik’s Arsenal days so that was our trump card”.

The England worldwide completed a season-long switch to the Vitality Stadium on transfer deadline day in a bid to gain regular playing time in the Premier League, with Bournemouth fighting off interest from the likes of Crystal Palace and Roma to get the deal done.

“We had a good football talk and talked about the club”.

The move comes after it was announced earlier this week that Arsenal would be willing to let the 24-year-old go out on loan in order to get regular first-team football.

Keown praised both Wilshere and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for the move, which he believes will prove to be the right decision for all parties.

Only time will tell, of course, but if Wilshere suffers more injury woe on the south coast this year I am sure that his choice of loan club will be questioned.

“We were contacted and asked, ‘would we be interested?’ We said yes and threw our hat in the ring but the player chose to go to Bournemouth, I think one of his best mates plays there”. We will work very hard to showcase him in the best way.

“Why is Jack Wilshere moving to Bournemouth?”. “Jack is on his own in terms of profile and that is the type of player we can now attract”.
