They then took advantage of a muffed punt by Isiah McKenzie deep in Georgia territory. From there, the Bulldogs were slowly able to salt the game away.
After a season opening win over North Carolina, the Georgia Bulldogs will play host to the Nicholls State Colonels.
Prior to the Nicholls game, the only other game Chubb didn’t rush for 100 yards in his career was the sixth game of the 2015 season against Tennessee when Chubb suffered a season-ending knee injury.

The offensive line struggled mightily in this game. He scampers more than 50-yards to the end zone for the touchdown, and the crowd cheers due to the electrifying run after catch. Georgia told reporters Eason would start on Friday morning, not long after Kirby Smart claimed the team hadn’t made a decision regarding the quarterback situation on his weekly Thursday radio show.
The Bulldogs (2-0) are coming off a 26-24 squeaker over Nicholls State, an FCS team that only won three games previous year.
“The quarterback plan is very similar to last week right now”, Smart said earlier in the week, via ESPN.
“You watch the tape and you’re sick to your stomach because there are so many things we did wrong that we need to improve on”, Smart said.

William Ham sent his first 52-yard field goal attempt wide left, but connected on kicks from 23 and 26 yards in the second and third quarters. Fourcade also rushed for 27 yards on four carries. The drive ended in a field goal to put the Bulldogs up by 10, but it presented Eason’s ability to stay poised and not get too discouraged easily.
