Orton Injured, Possibly Out Of Backlash PPV Match Tonight
PWInsider would later confirm that report, adding that Orton hadn’t passed the “Impact Test” which is given when an athlete suffers a concussion. WWE has not publicly confirmed the injury nor pulling Orton from the show, so expect some sort of angle to spring up from this on the PPV itself if the company does not address it in another way. As The Inquisitr previously reported, there are some people backstage who felt that was in bad taste, especially with Daniel Bryan and Tyson Kidd both being forced to retire in real life based on injuries.

This injury occurs only weeks after Randy Orton returned following another devastating injury.
As of press time, the WWE are still promoting the Bray Wyatt vs. It might have helped him to win a feud with Randy Orton, but a match with Kane at Backlash does nothing for him at all.
Wyatt was given the victory and instead fought Kane in a No Holds Barred match.
Orton is scheduled to face Lesnar again at the September 24th WWE live event in Chicago but that match apparently also up in the air.
Randy Orton hasn’t been the same ever since his match with “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

The second biggest match set for Backlash has just been cancelled. Speculation now is that Kane will be Orton’s last minute replacement.
