Clinton says, ‘I’m feeling great’; had left 9/11 event early

The former secretary of state later emerged from her daughter’s nearby apartment, saying she was “feeling great”, and her doctor said Clinton had recently been diagnosed with pneumonia and was now at home “recovering nicely”. Clinton was a USA senator for NY at the time of the attacks.

Hillary Clinton says she’s “feeling great” after having to leave the 9/11 anniversary ceremony in NY feeling overheated.

An ill Hillary Clinton abruptly left a 9/11 anniversary ceremony Sunday and needed to be held up by three people before she appeared to stumble off a curb and was helped into a van.

Clinton was afflicted by an uncontrollable cough for several minutes which forced her to stop speaking during a rally in Cleveland.

Clinton says, “It’s a lovely day in NY”.

There was no word from the campaign on whether she would go ahead with her plans to campaign in the Las Vegas area Wednesday, September 14, or whether she might do other campaign events closer to home Monday and Tuesday.

Bardack says Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies, and in a follow-up examination Friday of her cough, Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia.

The campaign also did not take reporters in the motorcade after Clinton’s departure from her daughter’s apartment.

“Hillary Clinton has canceled a trip to California planned for Monday and Tuesday, her campaign said late Sunday”, Politico reported in a breaking news alert late Sunday night.

Her schedule modification comes in the heat of a tightening race in the home stretch. A stomach virus and dehydration prompted her to faint, causing what her doctor said was a concussion.

A video posted on Twitter shows Hillary Clinton from behind held closely by a member of her staff, before slumping and being helped into a waiting van as she leaves the 9/11 memorial service in NY.

Clinton’s opponent in the November presidential election, Republican Donald Trump, also attended the event, but both candidates suspended their normal campaign rallies and speeches on the anniversary of what was the worst attack on US soil since the Japanese bombing at Pearl Harbor at the outset of World War Two. On Friday, Clinton told donors that “half” of rival Donald Trump’s supporters are in a “bucket of deplorables” – a comment that drew sharp criticism from Republicans.

But the businessman, his spokespeople and surrogates have promoted the idea in recent weeks that Clinton has serious health problems.

Now Ms Clinton is sure to face new questions about whether she is physically fit for the presidency. The fall led to temporary double vision and discovery of a blood clot in between her brain and skull. She later received the all-clear.

He said, “It was pretty hot out there, but she seemed fine to me, and left on her own accord”.

After some United States media reported she had fallen ill, reporters travelling with the candidate did not get an immediate response from the campaign to questions about her whereabouts and her health.

Her campaign has not offer additional details, including whether Clinton required medical attention. Asked by a reporter about Clinton’s health incident, Trump said, “I don’t know anything”.

“We really haven’t gotten very much, essentially a letter from her doctor”, he told CNN, but added that Trump should be held to the same requirement.

Despite Mrs Clinton’s pneumonia diagnosis, she had a whirlwind schedule last Friday that included a two-hour working meeting on national security, and a sit-down interview.

“‘Powering through’ illness is what women do”, tweeted former MI governor and Clinton surrogate Jennifer Granholm.
