Hillary’s Surrogates Told to Blame Media for ‘Deplorables’ Coverage

Neither of them have scheduled campaign events for the day.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is urging her surrogates to blame the media for having a double standard if they’re pressed about her derogatory dig at “half” of Donald Trump supporters being “deplorables,” The Washington Post reports.

Mrs Clinton reiterated that point on Saturday, saying many Trump supporters are “hard-working Americans” who feel marginalised.

Mrs Clinton said at a fund- raiser that Mr Trump had “lifted up” people that were “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it”. And unfortunately there are people like that. “Are they going to make more out of this story than they made out of the racist, misogynistic Trump comments that got us here in the first place?”

Donald Trump said he hopes Hillary Clinton “gets better soon”, Monday morning during an appearance on Fox & Friends.

“For the first time in a long while, her true feelings came out, showing bigotry and hatred for millions of Americans”, Trump said of Clinton.

It’s a tale of two contests for Clinton and Trump. “I also believe that Baghdadi is a central figure in the promulgation of this ideology”, she said.

At 69, Ronald Reagan was the oldest person to be elected president when he won in 1980.

Appearing at an LGBT gala fundraiser where Barbra Streisand performed, she said numerous GOP candidate’s voters were “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it”.

Romney’s remarks likely hurt him with independent voters, but it is unclear if Clinton’s gaffe will have such an impact.

Despite the intense focus on Clinton’s falling ill on Sunday, Arthur Caplan, a bioethicist at New York University Langone Medical Center, said the moment told voters little about Clinton’s physical fitness.

In Georgia, Trump leads by 3 points among likely voters, 46 per cent to 43 per cent.

“The white supremacists who go out and say that they are supporting Donald Trump, they’re deplorable”, Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.) said on Fox.

Notes: In September 2012, video surfaced of Romney speaking before a group of supporters in which he stated that 47 percent of the nation pays no income tax, are dependent on the federal government, see themselves as victims, and will support President Obama unconditionally.

“At a multimillion-dollar Wall Street fund-raiser with Hollywood celebrities, Hillary Clinton could not have demonstrated more contempt and arrogance towards the majority of working Americans who want change”, said Trump’s NY pollster, longtime GOP strategist John McLaughlin.

In another potential scandal, The Washington Post reported that almost all of the money in Trump’s charity foundation comes from people other than Trump, but is often donated through the charity in Trump’s name. The majority were critical of Clinton’s ethics as secretary of state as well as Trump’s qualifications and his behavior toward women and minorities.

“In two cases, he has used money from his charity to buy himself a gift”.

Trump, 70, fired back, first calling her comments “INSULTING” on Twitter and then issuing an angry statement. Trump has refused to release his tax returns – which would show how much he gives in charity – though his campaign said that he “plans to release his tax returns upon completion of a routine audit”.
